Hampden House

Hampden House is a cozy comfortable cottage with amazing views across the creek and salt marshes. The cottage sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The open-plan living space has a large oak table with benches, comfy sofas, plenty of entertainment and a wood burner. There is a bathroom upstairs and a wet room downstairs. Opposite the cottage is an idyllic terrace.

The living area has sofas and armchairs for 6 people and a freestanding wood burner (with a supply of logs). Entertainment includes Sky TV (family bundle), DVD player with DVDs, music system with CDs and a Sonos smart speaker. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage. Books about the local area and bird watching are available, as is a collection of games for young and old alike.

The open-plan dining area has a large oak table with benches and two chairs. It is separated from the kitchen by a room divider. The kitchen is very well equipped and features a 2-door electric AGA (no conventional cooker – an AGA Cookbook is supplied). There is a microwave, kettle, 4-slice toaster, cafetières and full-sized dishwasher. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery, serving dishes and all the necessary cooking utensils. An assortment of condiments is provided, and any dry goods stored in the cupboards can be used by guests.

In the utility room there is a large larder-fridge, small 3-drawer freezer and washer/dryer. There is also a drying rack and an iron and ironing board. The utility room has ample hanging space and doubles as a boot-room.

Upstairs there is a sunny landing with a desk. There are 3 double bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and overlooks the creek. Bedroom 2 has twin beds (which can be pushed together) and also overlooks the creek. Bedroom 3 is a small back bedroom with a king size bed. All bed linen is provided.

The upstairs bathroom has a large bath with over-bath shower, and a sink with de-misting mirror above. Downstairs is a wet-room with toilet and shower (no shower cubicle), sink and de-misting mirror. Towels for the bathrooms are provided but please bring your own beach towels. Basic soaps and toilet roll are also included.

Directly opposite the cottage (on the other side of the road) is an idyllic private terrace directly on the creek with tables, chairs and loungers. There are 2 car parking spaces next to the terrace.
